Need a bank account?
We have an agency with Cater Allen Private Bank (part of the Abbey Group), who provide an excellent range of bank accounts for companies and individuals, including a special account designed for IT contractors.
The main features of the account are as follows:
- Free banking - up to 20 transactions per month.
- A decent rate of deposit interest
- Cheque book, paying in book, standing order facilities, etc.
Worried about IR35?
The question as to whether a contract falls within the IR35 rules, i.e. is 'disguised employment', is a very grey area. If you are unsure whether your contract is caught by them, we can obtain a written opinion from a tax barrister. If your contract is in draft form, the barrister can advise amendments to help ensure that it falls on the 'right' side of IR35.
If you are caught by IR35, we understand the deemed salary calculation and its quirks and can advise you on mitigation.
